Honda Ridgeline in Nigeria
Honda's revolutionary 2020 Ridgeline mixes the two genres, making crossover SUVs and pickup trucks more popular than ever. It can't pull as much as its mid-size competitors, and it looks like a minivan with a truck bed fastened to the back end. The Honda's cabin, on the other hand, is better built and more spacious than anything else in its class. Similarly, thanks to an in-bed trunk and an optional audio system, its cargo bed can undertake customary jobs while also providing unique features. It also has incredible agility and fantastic ride quality, making it fun to use on a daily basis.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The only engine is a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 with 262 lb-ft of torque and a nine-speed automated transmission. When you ask for hard acceleration, the engine seems smooth, and the throttle response is extremely responsive. From behind the wheel, the Honda Ridgeline is an unconventional pickup in many respects. It's well-mannered on the road and exudes confidence. Its independent coil-sprung rear suspension contributes to a Carlile ride quality not attainable with the competition's leaf-sprung, solid-axle systems.
In corners, body lean is modest, and minor bumps are barely visible. The electric-assisted steering is comfortable. The Ridgeline's braking performance is its lone flaw in terms of dynamic performance. The brake pedal seemed mushy and had too much travel during regular operation, and the braking distance from 70 mph to zero was on the long side.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
In terms of utility and comfort, the Honda Ridgeline's interior is unrivaled in its class. The Honda, like most other mid-size pickups, has hard plastics below the dash. The materials are otherwise above average. Passengers in the rear seats will have the most space of any midsize competitor. The center console sits low between the front seats, so fold-down armrests for both front seats are a welcome addition. The Honda truck has only one-bed length, 5.3 feet, which is comparable to competitors' short beds, and the second-lowest volume, 34 cubic feet.
The locking, weather-tight in-bed trunk with a 7.3-cubic-foot capacity is the remedy to this imbalance. There's one more advantage: the Ridgeline is the only mid-size truck that can fit a sheet of four-by-eight-foot building material flat on the bed floor, thanks to its 50.0-inch gap between its wheel wells. Inside, there are more clever features. The back seat splits 60/40 and can be flipped up to accommodate a full-size bicycle. Unfortunately, because the back doors do not open very wide, loading bulky objects may be problematic.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The standard 8.0-inch HondaLink touchscreen on the Ridgeline is difficult to operate, has annoying features, and is slow to respond to human inputs. There aren't many redeeming aspects, but standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a clever, optional in-bed music system, will make any tailgate party more enjoyable. Actuators vibrate the cargo box, transforming it into a massive speaker.
