Infiniti JX in Nigeria

Formally called the Infiniti JX until 2013, the Infiniti QX60 is a seven-seat mid-size luxury crossover SUV manufactured by the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker, Nissan.

In keeping with the brand's naming technique for 2014, in which SUVs begin with QX while cars begin with Q, the JX was renamed to QX60.

While the number previously denoted engine displacement, the new number, 60, basically has to do with its place in the product lineup.

This model was the first three-row crossover to be released by the brand. It was designed by Naoyuki Ohkoshi under Shiro Nakamura all through 2008.

2013 Infiniti JX Review

The 2013 model is a seven-passenger SUV that comes in one well-appointed style, the JX35. Some standard features on it include fog lights, automatic bi-xenon headlights, heated side mirrors, LED taillights, 18-inch wheels.

Other features are a sunroof, a power liftgate, and keyless entry/ignition. While some interior features include heated front seats, leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver seat, a six-way power passenger seat.

Others are tri-zone automatic climate control, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth, a central display screen, and many others.

In addition, this model is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 265 hp and 248 pound-feet of torque. And the only available transmission is the continuously variable transmission (CVT) and features a Sport mode that can imitate a traditional transmission with fixed ratios.

FWD comes standard while AWD is optional. The front-wheel-drive model yields an EPA-estimated 21 mpg combined, while all-wheel-drive models are rated barely lower at 20 mpg combined.

Some safety features that come standard for the JX35 include traction control and stability control, antilock disc brakes, front seat-mounted side airbags.

The vehicle serves a distinct master, that is, one who rates a wide safety net, a plush ride, and moving families with style and comfort. The only major grievance is with the CVT.

Although it helps to achieve good fuel economy, it delays speed and does not have the quick-shifting, accurate feel that is expected of it.

One of its hallmark features is flexible seating. The second row tilts and slides 5.5 inches fore and aft, which gives room for you to reach and exit the third row with ease. It does this even with a child seat established in the second row.

Also, the third row provides enough headroom for passengers that are as talk as 6-foot, but clearance gets tight beyond that. Both second-and third-row seatbacks also recline.

The cabin room space is substantial as well, and there are 76.5 cubic feet when the second-and third-row seats are folded. This volume is enclosed in a rich blend of wood, leather, and metal accents.

This is a classy interior in every way. The electronics interface is one of the best, as its blend of a touchscreen, physical buttons, and a rotary knob make it simple to perform tasks.
