Jeep Cherokee in Nigeria
With class-leading off-road and towing capabilities, the Jeep Cherokee 2021 sets itself apart from the traditional small crossover. Its Jeep heritage will appeal to outdoor enthusiasts, some of whom may require a vehicle capable of traveling off the beaten path. The rough Trailhawk model is more physically and technologically exciting—especially with its improved drivetrain and other exclusive equipment—than the Cherokee's bloated façade, which will receive few Instagram likes.
All Cherokee versions are available with all-wheel drive, and a variety of engines are available, including a powerful V-6 and a torquey turbocharged four-cylinder. Even so, those who don't plan to use the 2021 Cherokee's 4500-pound maximum towing capacity or travel off the beaten path will be frustrated by its low fuel economy, limited cargo room, and doubtful value.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance of the Jeep Cherokee
A 3.2-liter V-6 engine and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine are available in addition to the regular 2.4-liter four-cylinder. The latter, which has 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque (56 lb-ft more than the V-6) and is at the top of the powertrain pyramid, produces 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Due to its slow responses to throttle inputs, experts consider the turbo engine to be inferior to the V-6; the four-cylinder Cherokee also has a less towing capacity.
The Cherokee has the heaviness and solidity you'd expect from a Jeep, making it feel larger than its competitors. Despite its off-road capabilities, the Cherokee is still a car, which means it has a pleasant ride and good road handling. Suspension setting that is quite firm controls body roll in corners without sacrificing ride quality. Impacts are absorbed with little resonance, and the Jeep is never floaty on the highway. Although you would desire more road feel, the steering is perfectly weighted and precise. In panic-braking situations, a firm-feeling brake pedal instills confidence, and the Cherokee's 70-mph-to-zero emergency braking performance is average for its class.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Cherokee's cabin is spacious and pleasant, with supportive seats and simple controls. The beautiful dashboard, which is based on the layout of the larger and more expensive Grand Cherokee, contributes to the luxury atmosphere. The Cherokee, on the other hand, is larger on the outside than many of its competitors, so you'd expect it to be roomier on the inside. The impression of confinement is exacerbated by small windows and high window sills. The Cherokee's cargo area is smaller than other vehicles of this size, and the internal cubby storage is only adequate. Due to the Jeep's high lift-over height, loading stuff into the back is more difficult than in some of its competitors. It also has a cargo compartment that is relatively less than top rivals such as the Ford Escape (34 cubes) and the Honda CR-V (39).
Do you want to get yours?
The Jeep Cherokee is larger and more expensive than comparable compact crossovers, but it can haul more and go off-road securely. If you think this is the car for you, go to Cars45 and go over the possible trims.
