Acura TL in Nigeria
Few entry-level luxury cars come with the kind of standard equipment that the 2007 TL does. The TL is a wonderful choice as an everyday companion because it is well-built and pleasant to live with.
The Acura TL is a midsize premium sports sedan that debuted in 2007. Base TL and Type-S are the two trim levels. A sunroof, heated side mirrors, automated headlights, leather upholstery, electric and heated front seats, dual-zone temperature control, HomeLink, and full power accessories are all standard on the base TL. The TL Type-S has a more powerful engine, a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance tires, and stronger brakes.

Pros and cons of the vehicles
Pros
- Excellent handling for a rather large front-drive sedan, sweet-natured V6 engines mated to exceptional transmissions, fantastic sound system, and excellent crash-test scores
Cons
- When the car is driven aggressively, front-drive handling restrictions become apparent, as well as a lack of low-end torque in particular conditions.
Vehicle overview
Acura successfully cemented its position in the midsize luxury market with the debut of the distinctly designed, well-detailed third-generation TL in 2004. The TL is an incredibly proficient front driver that comes with just about the most comprehensive list of standard equipment in its class, sharing much of its engineering with the Honda Accord. It's always been a reliable performer and the reintroduction of the performance-oriented Type-S in 2007 further improved things.
The Type-S is the Acura TL to lust for, with a 286-hp, 3.5-litre version of Acura's SOHC 24-valve VTEC V6 pounding away under its hood, an all-independent suspension calibrated to match, large Brembo disc brakes, and a distinctly aggressive design.
The front seats are among the best in any car, the stereo is nearly enough to justify buying the car, all the switches and controls operate with precision, the engine runs with utter serenity while still managing to have an engaging character, the suspension is well-controlled without being brutal, and there's enough space in the trunk to hold the lighting section of a good-size Home Depot.
Why is it a great buy?
- Performance and fuel economy: The base TL sedans are equipped with a 258-hp 3.2-liter V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with sequential manual shifting that drives the front wheels. The 3.5-liter V6 in the TL Type-S produces 286 horsepower and is mated to a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential or a five-speed automatic with paddle shifters for manual driving.
- Safety: NHTSA gives the 2007 TL the highest five-star rating for frontal and side-impact safety. After its front-offset crash tests, the IIHS rated the TL "Good" (the highest possible) for protection in frontal-offset collisions and named it a "Best Pick."
- Driving: For 2007, the suspension on both the TL and the TL Type-S has been revised. Overall, the result is a car that is sharper and more controlled without the harshness associated with sports tunes.
- Interior: The TL luxury sport sedan features one of the greatest interiors among its competitors, with an exquisite design, high-quality materials, and well-shaped seats.
The 2007 Acura TL isn't without flaws, but for many purchasers, those flaws are unimportant. If this is the model you have in mind, head to Cars45 and get one for yourself.
