The Beijing Auto Works (BAW) BJ212 is the name of this utilitarian off-roader. The BJ212, which debuted in 1965, was allegedly based on Land Rovers and the Soviet UAZ-469 at the time.

Drive is transmitted to all four wheels via a six-speed or five-speed manual gearbox with a low range transfer box for part-time four-wheel drive, riding on coil springs with redesigned foundations.

Appearance
