BMW X6 in Nigeria
The 2019 BMW X6 mixes the fastback roofline of a coupe with the high-riding capability of a crossover, with divisive results. The unconventional style reduces luggage room, which is the SUV's Achilles' heel, but those desiring a nontraditional look in their SUV will have to make do with less practicality. Its driving manners demonstrate that the BMW badge no longer symbolizes the gold standard for driver engagement, even though the firm continues to produce excellent engines.
The X6's luxury credentials are bolstered by a finely made interior and a powerful entertainment system. Unfortunately, options tend to inflate the bottom line. The X6 makes a bold outward statement, but crossover buyers will pay more for less with this perplexing BMW.

Engine, Transmission, Performance, and Towing
The X6 is a good illustration of how BMW has standardized great powertrains. Its 300-hp turbocharged six-cylinder engine produces a lot of power and does so in a silky smooth manner. While the engine had a quick throttle and a hefty right foot produced lively acoustics, the tested versions were more entertaining travelling from stoplight to stoplight than attacking the curves. The powerful 445-horsepower V-8 variant costs an arm and a legless than the 567-horsepower BMW X6. Both the six- and eight-cylinder X6s are paired with an impressive paddle-shifted eight-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The X6 with a V-8 engine can only be ordered with all-wheel drive, whereas the six-cylinder variant can be ordered with either rear- or all-wheel drive. The EPA estimates that both powertrains get 18 mpg in the city, while the rear-drive variant gets an extra 1 mpg on the interstate.
On our fuel loop, the six-cylinder, all-wheel-drive vehicle we tested outperformed its EPA highway estimate. Even yet, the recorded 25 mpg was only 1 mpg more than similar competitors. We don't know how efficient the V-8 is in the real world because we haven't tested an X6 with it.
Interior, Infotainment, and Cargo
The interior of the X6 is far more appealing than the outside. It provides an upscale experience with a blend of rich materials and sumptuous standard features. Unfortunately, the back seat is cramped, and the coupe-like roofline limits rear view. The dash has a fascinating digital gauge cluster that changes color depending on which drive mode you choose, but the head-up display settings are hidden in the touchscreen menus.
Every X6 comes with a 10.2-inch touchscreen with a variety of functions and standard features including Apple CarPlay. Thanks to a plethora of input choices, BMW's iDrive infotainment system is appealing and simple to use. A split-screen mode and customizable information can be added to the huge high-resolution display.
Which One to Buy
Choose the rear-drive sDrive35i because it has more power and offers the best value; all-wheel drive adds to the price. This decision also frees up funds to purchase the Premium package, which is required to access the majority of the other features. It also comes with four-zone automatic climate control, passive entry, wireless charging, and a one-year SiriusXM All Access subscription.
