Engine, Transmission, Performance, and Towing

The X6 is a good illustration of how BMW has standardized great powertrains. Its 300-hp turbocharged six-cylinder engine produces a lot of power and does so in a silky smooth manner. While the engine had a quick throttle and a hefty right foot produced lively acoustics, the tested versions were more entertaining travelling from stoplight to stoplight than attacking the curves.
