Honda Passport in Nigeria

The 2020 Passport will satisfy anyone looking for a large two-row crossover SUV with excellent handling and a Honda brand. While it isn't very beautiful on the inside or appearance, it comes with a slew of standard driver aids, including adaptive cruise control and automated emergency braking.

The interior of the Passport is likewise extremely comfortable and spacious, with plenty of storage space. Every model is driven by a fast and refined V-6 engine with an optional all-wheel drive. Unfortunately, it is not particularly fuel-efficient, and the ride on bad roads is unpleasant.

Despite this, the 2020 Passport outperformed numerous popular mid-size rivals in expert tests because it has the best combination of spaciousness, sportiness, and value.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The 280-hp 3.5-liter V-6 engine and nine-speed automated transmission are shared with the Honda Pilot. All-wheel drive is optional for those who prefer all-weather capability; otherwise, the Passport comes standard with front-wheel drive. The Honda Passport has a handy 7.5-inch ground clearance (8.1-inch for all-wheel-drive variants) and can tow up to 5000 pounds. When the two-row Honda does drive off-road, though, it has a bumpy ride, and its high ride height contributes to a top-heavy personality. Despite this, the Passport was speedy in our tests, and it accelerates smoothly on the highway. The ride is smooth on most roads, and the steering is direct and precise, giving the Passport a nimble, agile sensation behind the wheel.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

Anyone who has been inside a Honda Ridgeline will be immediately familiar with the Passport's interior. Despite the basic look, the materials are pleasant to the touch, and the controls are well-organized—though we would like more knobs than touchscreens. The front seats are spacious and comfy, with an adjustable armrest for optimum comfort.

The Passport's back seat is also spacious, accommodating up to five passengers. Behind the back seat, there's 41 cubic feet of storage space, which held 15 of our carry-on baggage. When you fold the rear row flat, you gain 78 cubes and the ability to hold 33 bags in total. Interior cubby storage is excellent in general, thanks to numerous usable bins throughout the cabin and a large bin on the center console.

Infotainment and Connectivity

For its infotainment system, the Honda Passport comes standard with a 5.0-inch display. Every other model has an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as standard features like Bluetooth and several power outlets. The top-tier Touring and Elite models, on the other hand, come with a 115-volt outlet, built-in navigation, an enhanced music system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless phone charging.

Do you want to get your own Honda Passport?

The Passport is one of the better mid-size crossovers, but it lacks a few desirable features. Head on to Cars45 to get yours for the best affordable price in Nigeria.
