2019 Hyundai Tucson Review
This year’s model is available in six trim levels which are SE, Sport, Value, SEL, Limited and Ultimate trims. The Value and SE trims are ideally well equipped. And the other trims add luxury-oriented features and a stronger engine
The SE and the Value come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which generates 164 horsepower and 151 pound-ft of torque. The sport, SEL, and the Limited trim get a 2.4-liter engine that produces 181 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque.
However, the two engines are paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Also, front-wheel drive is standard on all trims while all-wheel drive is optional.
Some standard features on the SE are automatic headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, a windshield wiper de-icer (AWD only), heated mirrors.
Others include a USB port, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a 60/40-split folding back seat, and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, and more.
Also coming standard on this year’s model is a forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assist.
The Value trim adds heated front seats, roof rails, keyless access and push-button start, and Hyundai's Blue Link communication services, and more.
Similarly, you get the same features with the SEL but with upgraded exterior trim, the 2.4-liter engine, 18-inch alloy wheels, and more.
Some features on the Sport are LED headlights and taillights, 19-inch wheels, exterior styling enhancements, foglights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more.
You will appreciate the optional panoramic sunroof except for tall passengers. It will not take long for you to get familiar with this vehicle. This is because every interface is straightforward and its controls are marked clearly.
Like other compact SUVs, it offers a fairly upright seating position. Its dash is neither too high nor low. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes a large amount and the eight-way power seat allows adjustment for all heights.
In addition, front passengers have enough shoulder and headroom, even with the optional panoramic sunroof. However, the back seats never feel cramped.
Also, there is good visibility all around and the blind spots are reduced. It is just the smallish rear window that seems obstructive. The side mirrors are also big enough but the rearview camera is low-res so details are often blurry.
This vehicle is the best as it is a relaxing place to be during a long drive. Also, if a smooth ride and comfortable interior are must-haves for you, you need to get it.
Importantly, the front seats are comfortable for a large number of body types. Either you are driving in slow traffic or freeway speeds, it handles irregularities on the road very well.
2021 Hyundai Tucson Review
It possesses excellent ergonomics and plenty of interior space. This makes the cabin a very pleasant place to be. Also, the front seats provide plenty of room and rear passengers will be able to recline their seats.
Additionally, for drivers, it is easy to find a commanding and comfortable position, and its large windscreen and thin pillars allow for great visibility.
