Infiniti QX4 in Nigeria
In the past, the QX4's price premium over its mechanical and structural twin, the Nissan Pathfinder, was not seen to be justified. The Q's key selling points were its exclusive All-Mode four-wheel-drive technology, as well as a few other unique features. Despite major modifications for 2001 that include more standard and optional equipment as well as a significant increase in power, the car-like QX4 has finally dusted itself off and stepped up to the plate in comparison to its direct competitors. However, because most of these additional features, as well as the Q's clever 4WD system, are available on the Pathfinder, this Infiniti still has an identity dilemma.
Overview of the vehicle
For 2001, the Infiniti QX4 is now available in a lower-priced 2WD form, saving customers money. Other outward modifications for 2001 include crisp new alloy wheels (16-inch standard, 17-inch optional premium package) and an upgraded interior with color-coordinated bird's eye maple wood-tone trim and the characteristic Infiniti analog clock on the dashboard. During a test drive, we loved the special "Birdview" display offered by an optional navigation system, which is cluttered with tiny buttons to manage tasks.

Engine, performance, and handling
The 2001 Infiniti QX4 gets a new engine based on the Maxima's award-winning powertrain, just like its Nissan sibling. The 3.5-liter 24-valve V6 engine produces 240 horsepower and 265 foot-pounds of torque, and it's paired to a four-speed automatic transmission that can drive the rear or all four wheels. The V6 is smooth and quiet, with surprisingly lively around-town acceleration, although mid-range power for passing should be improved.
With an independent strut front and five-link coil beam rear axle suspension working through pavement-biased tires to provide confidence-inspiring levels of road grip, the handling is exceptional for an SUV. The engine-speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering is surprisingly responsive, and the sturdy unibody (or Monoframe, as Infiniti calls it) construction reduces chassis flex to a minimum. The front disc/rear drum ABS brakes are powerful, with a decent pedal feel and modulation. Overall, the QX4 is enjoyable to drive, especially with the new engine, and has a sportier temperament than most other SUVs.
With a simple twist of a control knob, the QX4's automatic 4WD technology provides drivers with the security of having maximum traction. When set to "Auto," the technology, known as All-Mode 4WD, transfers power between the front and back wheels based on road surface conditions. It achieves this by monitoring power distribution and wheel slippage and shifting up to 50% of the power to the front wheels to ensure that the tires have traction. With the sport package, you'll get a rear limited-slip differential, which improves traction even more. 2WD, 4WD-Hi, and 4WD-Lo are among the options available in All-Mode.

The Infiniti QX4 is a luxurious and competent pickup. The Pathfinder, on the other hand, is less expensive. If you're interested in purchasing this vehicle, go to cars45 and go through the available trims.
