Jeep Liberty in Nigeria
The Liberty was first released in 2002, and it was entirely remodeled for the 2008 model year. This is a tiny SUV with a unibody design that seeks to combine car-like driving manners with Jeep's go-anywhere capability. Only a 3.7-liter V-6 engine with 210 horsepower, paired to a four-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission, is available in the new Liberty. The Liberty comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but two all-wheel-drive systems are available: Command-Trac, which is a part-time, shift-on-the-fly system, and Selec-Trac II, which is a full-time system. Both all-wheel-drive systems come standard with hill descent control, and hill start aid is included on all Libertys.

Jeep offers a more advanced all-wheel-drive system than the Command-Trac II conventional part-time, shift-on-the-fly design. This active, on-demand system is known as Selec-Trac II. Fog lamps, cruise control, deep-tinted glass, a fold-flat front-passenger seat, and a cargo-compartment cover are included in the Premium Sound Group, while fog lamps, cruise control, deep-tinted glass, a fold-flat front-passenger seat, and a cargo-compartment cover are included in the Popular Equipment Group.
