Jeep Wrangler in Nigeria
The 2020 Wrangler is the epitome of the Jeep brand, with origins dating back to the original World War II military vehicle, and its off-road capabilities are nothing short of incredible. While it retains the appearance of the first-generation Jeep, it has grown into a one-of-a-kind four-wheel-drive vehicle with technology and elegance to match its off-road prowess. From air conditioning to leather, it has everything. There are two mild-hybrid engines available, as well as a four-door version known as the Wrangler Unlimited. You can still remove the doors and top, fold down the windshield, and enjoy driving around the countryside no matter which version you choose.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The standard 285-hp 3.6-liter V-6 from the previous-generation Jeep Wrangler returns under the hood of the new JL mated to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Optionally, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor provides additional low-end power. Part-time four-wheel drive is standard across the range and is controlled by a lever on the center console. Wranglers are built for off-roading, so part-time four-wheel drive is standard.
A standard two-door Wrangler Sport with the V-6 and the six-speed manual transmission sped from zero to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds in expert testing; a well-equipped four-door Sahara model with the automatic transmission sped from zero to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds. The four-door Sahara was somewhat faster to 60 mph with the four-cylinder hybrid power plant, clocking it at 6.5 seconds. The Rubicon model is slower because it carries more weight in the shape of heavy-duty off-roading equipment. The Wrangler JL's performance on the test track is noticeably better than the previous model, although in some areas it falls short of its competitors. Despite improvements in handling, it still drives like a truck when compared to today's polished SUVs and pickups. The four-ride doors are pleasant enough over rough terrain, but braking distances differed between our two test vehicles.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Jeep Wrangler JL isn't the roomiest or accommodating SUV on the market, but it offers a seamless blend of classic and current Jeep flair. The view of the road—or trail—is commanding, but the view backward is covered by large roof pillars, roll bars, and several grab handles. Do you want a better view? Simply remove the doors and pop the top. The driver and front-seat passenger sit close to the upright windshield, facing a short, squared-off dashboard with round air vents and chunky controls for the climate-control system, power windows (if supplied), and multimedia.
The Wrangler has enough storage for groceries and gear as an errand runner, but be careful that the back seats do not fold level with the floor. As you might assume, choosing the traditional two-door Wrangler over the bigger Unlimited four-door variant has a major cargo-hauling trade-off. When compared to the four-door, the two-door can only fit two of our carry-on cases behind the back seat, whereas the four-door can hold ten. This means you can travel light if you're traveling with friends.
