Range Rover Evoque in Nigeria
If you're looking for a functional SUV, seek elsewhere; but, if you're looking for a fashion statement, the 2020 Range Evoque is a great option. Two alternative turbocharged four-cylinder powertrains are available, one of which incorporates a 48-volt hybrid system to provide additional torque.
The inside is well-appointed, as is the rest of the Land Rover lineup, but those looking for a vehicle to transport rear-seat passengers and/or goods should look at one of the Evoque's many competitors, which offer more space for both. The Evoque's fashion-over-comfort philosophy necessitates concessions in several areas.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The Range Rover Evoque is equipped with a nine-speed automated transmission and all-wheel drive and is powered by one of two turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines. The P250, which produces 246 horsepower and is available in both base and First Edition variants, is the first. The second is the P300, which produces 296 horsepower with a turbo four-cylinder engine and a 48-volt hybrid system; this powertrain is standard on all R-Dynamic vehicles.
The P300 took the Evoque to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds on the test track, while the P250 took 7.1 seconds. Rivals like the BMW X1 and Volvo XC40 have somewhat faster times, but the Land Rover is still competitive. On the road, the Evoque cannot be mistaken for a hatchback, as the X1 can. It has a substantial feel to it, and the seat height is acceptable for an SUV; it handles turns beautifully, but it won't delight passionate drivers as much as the BMW or Mercedes-Benz GLA-class.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Unfortunately, the Range Rover Evoque's imposing external dimensions conceal a cramped interior—especially for those in the back seat. The Evoque's rear seats feel cramped when compared to rival subcompact SUVs like the X1 and the XC40.
The inside materials, on the other hand, are quite beautiful. The Evoque is available with textured-cloth upholstery that covers the seats, door panels, and dashboard; leather is still available as a standard option.
Dual-zone automatic climate control, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, and ambient interior lighting are all included as standard equipment. Although the cargo space behind the back seat isn't as large as you'd expect from an SUV, it nevertheless held six carry-on suitcases in our testing, which aligns with a good part of the segment.
Infotainment and Connectivity
A 10-inch infotainment touchscreen with Land Rover's newest Touch Pro interface is standard on all Evoque models. The system works, and customers will get used to its oddities, but it has a noticeable lag when switching from menu to menu, which irritates the impatient among us. The Touch Pro Duo system, available on higher equipment levels, adds a second 10-inch display that controls the Evoque's climate control system, vehicle settings, and heated seats. A head-up display and a Meridian premium audio system with SiriusXM satellite radio are both options, as are navigation and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration.
Do you want to get yours?
The Range Rover Evoque is perfect for being seen, but not particularly competent at hauling cargo and people. Head on to Cars45 to buy yours for the best price in Nigeria.
