Daewoo Matiz in Nigeria
Many people's perceptions about Daewoo changed after seeing the Matiz. When it took on the work itself, it became a maker of smarter automobiles, rather than a corporation that manufactured re-heated versions of others' cast-offs. The Matiz was the first Daewoo that a considerable number of people would consider buying for reasons other than the cost of ownership; ironically, given that it was Britain's cheapest car to run. As a used purchase, you may bring these costs even lower while still owning one of the most daring City Cars on the road. Are you gormless or groovy? It's entirely up to you.
History
In April 1998, the Matiz model was introduced in the United Kingdom, and it was originally assigned mainly through a network of Halford superstores. More specialized Daewoo dealerships sprung up over time, but the Halfords strategy was unquestionably an unconventional way to establish a large dealer network at a low cost. The Matiz was released in two varieties, the SE and the SE+, and it quickly became popular.
The Matiz won Best Small Car in the Auto Express Used Car Awards, Best Value Car in Top Gear Magazine, and Best Small Car on BBC2's Top Gear all in the year 2000. Sales were brisk, and everything seemed to be going well for the Matiz until a magazine published an article saying that the Matiz would tip over if a large amount of steering input was made while reversing at high speeds.
With the demise of Daewoo, the Matiz came to an end, but the car was briefly rebadged as a Chevrolet until the advent of an all-new model in early 2005.

What you get
The Daewoo Matiz was the most important of the South Korean company's wave of new products introduced in the late 1990s: it was the most advanced. Take, for example, the aesthetic, which was created by Turin's ItalDesign.
In any event, Daewoo correctly points out that such vehicles are rarely used over long distances. For starters, none of them has enough luggage to carry more than a couple of soft bags. The Matiz is no exception, but unlike the European counterparts, it has five doors that open into a much larger cabin than you might anticipate.
The one-box design implies one of the longest city vehicle wheelbases you'll find, yet being 125mm shorter than the little Ford Ka. As a result, there was plenty of leg, head, and elbow room. Daewoo didn't try to pass this off as some kind of low-cost, downsized MPV, which is refreshing. With a 60:40 split rear seat and a low-opening tailgate, it is acceptable as a multipurpose vehicle. Unless you're allergic to black or grey plastic, the interior won't bother you.
Do you want to get your own Daewoo Matiz?
The Matiz is your best pick if you're an undemanding driver looking for something cheap and cheerful. Its tiny proportions and zingy engine are ideal for light shopping and A to B city jaunts.
It becomes absorbed on the open road, and rivals with larger engines acquit themselves far more easily. A used Matiz is almost too cheap to pass up as a second car. It's dependable, stylish, and a practically new example will provide you with the peace of mind that made it such an appealing new purchase. Get yours now on Cars45 in Nigeria.
