Jeep Gladiator in Nigeria
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator follows up where the Comanche, the brand's previous cargo-bed-carrying model from the early 1990s, left off. The pickup truck, which is based on the renowned Jeep Wrangler, features a four-door cab with a five-foot box and an obligatory set of serious off-road gear. Large off-road tires, a solid suspension, and standard four-wheel drive are included with the latter. While a diesel-powered V-6 will be available in the future, this Jeep now only comes in a gasoline variant. Nonetheless, the Gladiator remains a standout among mid-size pickup trucks, earning a spot on our 10Best list for 2020. Its distinctively rough design and changeable body pieces make it an attractive and flexible mode of transportation.

Engine, Transmission, Performance
The Jeep Gladiator is powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that develops 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and is mated to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Experts evaluated an Overland model with the automatic transmission, which went from zero to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. To put it another way, it's a little slower than most of its competitors. The Jeep will ultimately get a diesel 3.0-liter V-6 engine with 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, but it's not on the list now. The Gladiator features an extra 19.4 inches between the front and rear wheels as compared to the normal Wrangler.
This, according to Jeep, improves the pickup's ride and handling. After driving multiple vehicles, enthusiasts can affirm that it drives similarly to the Wrangler. On uneven surfaces, the truck's steering isn't very accurate, and the ride can be bumpy. Nonetheless, these features are part of the recipe that makes the Gladiator a true pickup truck as well as a trail-ready vehicle. Most off-road aficionados are more concerned with the truck's off-road capabilities, which feature everything from plenty of skid plates to rock-crawling axle ratios and the ability to ford up to 30 inches of water. The Gladiator's high ground clearance and approach/departure angles allow it to conquer new territory.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Gladiator's interior features an upright dashboard that mimics the Wrangler's and features user-friendly controls. A watertight push-button start is standard, while optional convenience amenities such as a heated steering wheel and heated front seats are available. In comparison to the four-door Wrangler, Jeep claims the truck's extended wheelbase improves back-seat legroom. The body and top panels on the Gladiator may also be simply removed to create an open-air cabin. The Gladiator has a lot of clever interior storage options, in addition to its five-foot cargo bed. It features a few places to put your phone in the cabin, as well as useful storage buried under the back seat. The chairs may be stowed in a variety of ways before being securely fastened in place when the path becomes dangerous.
