History of Creation
The Kia Seltos is a subcompact crossover SUV made by Kia and was debuted in 2018 at the Auto Expo show for the 2019 model. The car comes in three variations introduced into different markets around the world. The first variant is the largest and was made in South Korea under the name SP2.
The name Selto was said to have been derived from Celtos, who is the son of Hercules in Greek Mythology. The 'S' in the vehicle's adopted name denotes speed and sportiness, in honor of Celtos' courageous and assertive character.
The two other make of the Seltos were made in India and China, and were codenamed the SP2i and SPc respectively. These two variants are affordable and cheaper than the SP2 as they were built on the platform of the Hyundai KIA K2.
The SP2 Seltos was introduced in South Korea in 2019 and it offered two engines; the 1.6-liter Gamma turbo petrol engine that runs on a maximum of 177 PS (130 kW; 175 hp). The other is a 1.6-liter U-Line diesel engine is equipped with a maximum of 136 PS (134 hp; 100 kW) and 32.6 kg⋅m (320 N⋅m; 236 lb-ft) of torque with a claimed fuel economy of 18 km/l (42 mpg-US).
These two engines were mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It also comes with an all-wheel-drive system. Other features of the car include lane-following assist, driver attention alert, and high-beam assist.
The SP2i model is an Indian-made Seltos and was debuted in 2019, June. This model came with two sub-models, the Tech line, and the GT line. For this Selto, three choices of the engine were made available; one diesel and two petrol engines. The diesel engine is a 1.5-liter U-Line unit that comes with 115 PS (85 kW; 113 horsepower). This engine is as well mated with either a six-speed manual or torque-converter automatic transmission.
The first petrol engine is a 1.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 115 PS (85 kW; 113 hp) and is mated with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The second petrol engine is a 1.4-liter Kappa turbo engine that produces 140 PS (103 kW; 138 hp) and is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Comfort: The Seltos is not that comfortable even though it looks sporty. The ride moves on bumps and it isn’t cushiony which makes it uncomfortable.
