Land Rover Defender in Nigeria
With the all-new 2020 Defender, Land Rover reintroduces one of its most iconic nameplates. Its boxy body and retro accents harken back to the original from the 1950s and blend with Land Rover's modern design language to create a smart and nostalgic look. The 2020 Defender may appear to be a regular crossover, but it features real off-road skills and durable components that help it live up to its go-anywhere reputation. Durable cabin furnishings, as well as expensive materials and a slew of luxury features, are all standard on the Defender.
What's New for 2020?
For 2020, the Defender is all-new, and unlike prior generations, it will be available worldwide. The 2020 Defender is available in two body styles: two-door (90 models) and four-door (110 models), each with a different wheelbase and internal space. A smaller Defender 80 model is expected to enter the roster, although it will be a few years before it is produced.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
A standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine is coupled to an eight-speed automated transmission in the 2020 Land Rover Defender. For tackling rough terrain, all models come standard with all-wheel drive and locking differentials. The new 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine from Jaguar Land Rover will also be available in the Defender. The updated engine also has an electric supercharger and a 48-volt hybrid system in addition to turbocharging.
Unlike its predecessor, the next-generation Defender will be built on a unibody rather than a body-on-frame platform, and the old solid axles will be replaced with completely independent suspension. The latter comes standard with coil springs, but an air suspension that allows for changeable ride height can be added. The Defender has 11.5 inches of ground clearance and can handle 35.4 inches of water, which is more than the Jeep Wrangler's highest clearance and wading capacity combined.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Land Rover Defender's interior straddles the line between premium and practical, with just enough design elements from the rest of the Land Rover series to make fans feel at ease. Exposed rivets in the door panels give the car a tough look, and a magnesium beam that runs the length of the dashboard isn't just for show—also it's functional. A trapezoidal expansion of the dashboard beneath the infotainment display houses the climate-control system and driving mode buttons and switches.
Instead of the center console, the shift lever and ignition switch are located on this middle stack. The center console may be flipped back in some versions to form a jump seat between the driver and passenger, similar to the three-across bench found in some full-size pickup trucks. The storage capacity behind the back seats is minimal but comparable to other off-roaders like the Jeep Wrangler; the rear seats can be folded to open up a considerably larger cargo compartment, but anyone looking to haul people and stuff should consider the larger Land Rover Discovery or a roof-top load carrier.
Do you want to get yours?
Some may compare the 2020 Land Rover Defender to the Jeep Wrangler, but it has its sense of elegance and functionality. If you think this is the car for you, go to Cars45 and acquire it for the greatest price in Nigeria.
